Our new couch

We bought a "new" couch at DI in Pocatello for $35. After we shampooed the heck out of it and got the cat dander out, we can now have it in our living room. It still smells wonderfully of musty old books, but its ok for now... It goes great with all the other things in our living room- such as the gold and red curtains, and the red carpet. Here's a picture of the lovely thing.

And here is a closeup of the amazing floral detail ....

And here's some pictures we took while we were on a walk one day. It really is very beautiful here, even in the winter when I'm sick of cold and snow.

sweet picture

Joe took this picture of Ginger. Its pretty cool! She looks like she has a beard because of the snow on her chin. :-)

haircut

So I got my hair cut today. The shortest I've ever had it. I'm not sure that I like it. I really like the back but not so much the sides and the front. I wanted something different and figure its just hair and will grow back. I think I like it best in the pic I have as a header on this page. I may be growing it out now....

Visitors

Nikole and Bert came to visit us while they were on their break from school. It was really awesome to have them here! We went to Sharkey Hot Springs with them and played some games. They went cross-country skiing. I tried a pair on and think it would be fun to do sometime. They were awesome guests and made us dinner the first night they were here. Thanks guys for a great time and we hope you come visit again!

Sad news...

One of our hamsters, Penny had to be put down two days ago. She had an abscess in her cheek pouch and was suffering. She was a good hamster and we loved her. We hope her sister Pearl will be okay without her. Anyway, she was a good pet for us and we know she is better off now. We couldn't bury her since the ground is frozen, but we sent her off down the Lemhi River. Goodbye Penny!

Christmas Time

We went to Kimberly the week before Christmas to visit with Joe's family. They got to go to New York City to visit Rachel and Seth for Christmas, I was so jealous! We spent Christmas Eve and day with my family in Idaho Falls. We had a good time at both places! Joe was so sweet and got me a plain wedding band for Christmas/graduation and a Regina Spektor CD. He is awesome. I got him a Fry Daddy.

Here's Finn with the cool wood car I got him at the Cheerleader Bazaar here in Salmon.
